Hot Creations boss Jamie Jones and British DJ/producer Richy Ahmed have been friends and musical cohorts for a long time. The pair are famous for hitting the decks together for hefty b2b sets in Ibiza and beyond, with Ahmed appearing regularly on Jones’ label and Jones often joining Ahmed in the studio.

Despite their unmistakable collaborative energy, we’ve never seen a joint release from the two artists — until now. To mark the return of Richy Ahmed’s Four Thirty Two imprint, Jones and Ahmed have finally released some of their studio magic with More Energy / I Need It, a surefire two-tracker with remixes from Butch and Ray Mono.

Teeming with invigorating club vibes, “More Energy” comes in strong with whirling synth lines, graceful arpeggios, and a distinct vocal hook (from Richy Ahmed no less) before “I Need It” hits the floor hard with a classic house piano riff and bustling 909 patterns.

Both Butch and Ray Mono come through proper on the remix front, with Butch pulling back the reins for a deeper version, while rising UK talent Ray Mono keeps us locked into the groove with his his trademark minimalist arrangement.

Richy Ahmed & Jamie Jones’ More Energy / I Need It is out now on via Four Thirty Two.
