Wheats – Insomniac (Original Mix) [Hottrax]

UK-based DJ/producer Wheats returns to Jamie Jones’ Hottrax with his Another Planet EP, a set of three off-kilter house cuts.

“Insomniac” brings a dose of the after-hours to the EP, making use of hypnotic drum patterns and energetic breakdowns, with the stuttering low end bringing the release to a trippy conclusion, marking a standout release from Wheats on the consistently reliable Hottrax.

This tune should be in your playlist!

Maxinne – Outta My Head (Original Mix) [Knee Deep In Sound]

Maxinne’s work ethic, dedication and focus has seen her build a solid foundation over the last few years. Through many hours in the studio she’s found her emotive and uplifting sound that has gained her support from industry heavyweights such as Annie Mac, Danny Howard, Hot Since 82 and Mark Knight and many more.

The lead track of the Outta My Head EP on Knee Deep In Sound is a statement and great example of Maxxine’s forward, driving and uplifting sound. A forward moving bassline, punchy kick, energetic hi hats and shakers accompanied by a simple yet powerful chord that progresses and builds up a lot of energy in the main breakdown. Not to forget to mention the very well placed female and male vocals that round up this track.

Arms in the air for Maxxine!

Carloh – New School, Old School (Original Mix) [Too Many Rules]

Carloh once again delivers a very enjoyable dancefloor sound on Javi Bora’s imprint Too Many Rules with his amazing So Good EP.

“New School, Old School” closes the release and straight forward is a bomb! The track to me is a perfect hybrid of forward thinking new school Tech House that uses old school nineties chords and synth as a harmonic element and keeps things classy. Peak time alert.

Steve Darko, Nik Thrine – Droids (Original Mix) [DIRTYBIRD]

Just months after the release of his lauded LP debut on DIRTYBIRD, label favorite Steve Darko returns alongside Nik Thrine for the two-tracker Small Things EP.

The release brims with the refreshing, off-kilter take on tech house that both producers have built their names around. The glitch motif in “Droids”, is a cerebral number that substitutes melody for a kaleidoscope of synth effects and drum layers that together create a futuristic atmosphere that perfectly fits to the sound the label is going for.

This tune fits into any situation of your set and is an absolute class allrounder.

Guilherme Rossi – Attention (Original Mix) [Molotov21]

Rising from the paradise city of Rio de Janeiro, Molotov21 has come with fire and intensity to deliver some of the hottest tunes right from Brazil.

Always looking forward to the future but never forgetting the roots of the past. Perfect example of that is the Attention EP delivered by Guilherme Rossi. Energetic, driving and sexy from the very first second “Attention” the lead track of the release holds no surprises and gets you on the dance floor instantly.
