With Beatport Insider, we look at key stats from the Beatport store each month. This time, we look at the artists, tracks, and labels that dominated our House, Deep House, Afro House, and Organic House / Downtempo genre sales and streaming charts over the past six months.
Fred Again.. and The Blessed Madonna settle in with the top-selling and most-streamed track in the last six months with their “return to the dance floor” ballad, “Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)” — earning them the number four and five slots on our best-selling and most-streamed artists lists respectively. Defected stills hold true as the best-selling label on Beatport followed closely by Toolroom and Glasgow Underground. And coming in as the best-selling and most-streamed artist in the house music genre is none other than Brazilian wunderkind, Vintage Culture.
