Following the release of Wigbert‘s multifarious debut LP, Distorted Matter, on Second State earlier this year, the German producer has lined up a first-class selection of techno heavyweights to feature on the album’s official remix EP.

First up on the five-track Distorted Matter Remixes EP is the Code Is Law label head, Mørbeck, who kicks things off with a charging and acidic interpretation of “Reflection.” The track is followed by Matrixxman‘s Labyrinth remix of “Automatic Loop,” a bass-heavy edit with scurrying drums and uncanny modular wizardry that leads into Second State bosses Pan-Pot‘s hollowed-out and pulsating remix of “Xcelerator.”

For the record’s b-side, Wigbert taps Jeroen Search for a dizzying version of “Focus” that reaches for the heavens with big chords and mischievous synth before Anthony Linell‘s Sunday Adventure Club (S.A.C.) remix of “Reflection” brings us home with a textured and heaving attitude.

Wigbert’s Distorted Matter Remixes EP is out now via Second State.
