EE x Beatport Present Parallel, The UK’s First Hybrid, 5G-Powered Club Night

Beatport has teamed up with EE, the UK’s biggest and fastest mobile network, to host a brand new and wholly futuristic club concept.

Coming to Liverpool on August 12th and Manchester on August 19th, EE x Beatport Presents Parallel is a hybrid club night that will highlight a selection of local, emerging talent and electronic music juggernauts across two different venues in each city. The events will occur simultaneously and be linked through EE’s first-rate 5G network, making it possible for each performer to go b2b with the other DJ at the opposing location.

So how does it work? EE’s 5G network provides the low latency and superfast speeds needed to mix two live sets together seamlessly. The cutting-edge performance concept is a clubland first, and an exciting twist for the artists and fans in attendance who will be able to watch, listen, and dance to the same set that is broadcast and produced in two different spaces at the same time.

The first Parallel night in Liverpool will occur at two separate nightlife venues — Liberté Rooftop and Matou Roof Terrace — with performances from Yousef and Lauren Lo Sung (Liberté Rooftop) along with Melé and Siân Bennett (Matou Roof Terrace). Each DJ pair will tag-team — Yousef b2b Melé and Lauren Lo Sung b2b Sian Bennett — live via Liverpool’s best 5G network across the two venues for an exhilarating night not to be missed.

EE x Beatport Parallel live in Manchester will be held at the iconic music venue, Hatch, on August 19th. Headlined by Knee Deep In Sound boss Hot Since 82, with supporting DJ sets from DJ Paulette and Massey (Sprechen). The event will also feature 5GEE powered virtual performances from Neil Diablo and Gina Breeze, intermixed live from across the city in a secret location, and beamed into the venue in real-time.
