Rewatch Beatport’s First In-Person ReConnect Event in Ibiza

Since the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, Beatport’s ReConnect series has been a beacon of comfort and passion for electronic music fans worldwide. Offering up marathon live streams with some of dance music’s most esteemed acts, while raising money for important causes such as the WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, AFEM’s COVID-19 Hardship Fund, and Together For Beruit, Beatport’s ReConnect showed us the deep levels of love, solidarity and community that exist within our brilliant and diverse music scene.

Eighteen months after airing our very first ReConnect Livestream, Beatport headed to the beautiful Ibiza countryside to host its very first in-person ReConnect event at the world-class venue, Cova Santa.

The IRL event featured an eclectic group of some of dance music’s most trusted names, including Beatport Next artist TSHA, Fedele, and rising star Cici. With Ibiza favourite Maceo Plex closing out the special event with supreme style, this landmark Beatport event, which marked our gradual return to the floor in one of the world’s dance music capitals, was truly something special.

The event helped raise money for two different charities on the White Isle — 24/7 Ibiza, which protects the island’s poor and homeless populations, and (ma), a learning lab for sustainable transformation in Ibiza that aims at contributing towards reimagining the island’s economic model. Beatport donated €3000 to the above charities, with additional funds that will be coming in from the event’s ticket sales.
