Hype Label of the Month: Happiness Therapy
We show love to one of the most quality house music imprints to emerge from France in recent memory, Happiness Therapy — Beatport’s Hype Label of the Month.
Ralph Moore

Happiness Therapy is a label with an ethos that the name of the imprint alludes to. It’s a French label that was founded in 2018 by Crowd Control (via humble beginnings in Lyon) and over the past five years has become one of the country’s most renowned imprints. It’s a totally independent imprint with a small core group of musicians at the heart of the operation and therefore they fly the proverbial flag for grassroots music across the world. Some of the artists you may have heard of and some you may not but together, they’re a cool collective that truly means business.
The label’s stable includes such luminaries as Jesse Bru, Denyl Brook, Baka G and B FROM E and together their ethos remains the same, quality music for quality people. As Crowd Control, AKA Simon Blondeau states: “We spent months getting everything right. Getting the logo right, getting the design just so. We didn’t want to look like any other label and we wanted to be known for quality music. Their V/A anniversary compilation 5 Years of Happiness hits the store later this year, featuring new music from label regulars and one-off electronic collaborators: we can’t wait. Also look out for music from Baka G, Denyl Brook, FRR Fonk and The Phantom’s Revenge: this is French cuisine at its best, but catering for music lovers the world over.
Happiness Therapy’s V/A compilation Happy House Vol. 6 is out now. Buy it on Beatport.
