British dance floor innovator Blawan, real name Jamie Roberts, is back and ready to blow our minds with a new five-track EP, Dismantled Into Juice — set to land on May 19th via XL Recordings.

The record follows up on his highly-praised Woke Up Right Handed EP, which landed on the esteemed XL imprint back in November of 2021. It was a record that broke the artist out of his “techno producer” mold, treating us to twisted bass/techno inventions such as “Under Belly” and “Gosk.”

With Dismantled Into Juice, Blawan breaks the mold again, letting his unbridled knack for experimentation take the wheel with drilling distortion, astonishing drum work, haywire synths, original vocals, and more. Here, we “Toast” to our first taste of the forthcoming record, an opening single that teases the sharp and mercurial rhythmic schemes he has in store for us. Listen below.

Blawan’s new single “Toast” is out now via XL Recordings. Buy it on Beatport.
