Rewatch Desperados and Beatport’s Rave to Save Livestream Series

We raved, and then we saved! By partnering with beer brand Desperados, Beatport has been proud to participate in Rave to Save — a virtual event series and app created to raise money for Europe’s shuttered clubs through the power of music and dancing.

By tracking your steps with each dance move, Desperados have successfully donated €1 for every 1000 steps taken by the legions of enthusiastic ravers that downloaded the app and tuned into each Rave to Save livestream.

Donating all the proceeds to the clubs in Germany that hosted each of these events — Prince Charles (Berlin), Reineke Fuchs Club (Cologne), Halo (Hamburg), Cassiopeia (Berlin) — the funds will now be put to good use to help cover each venue’s operational costs through this challenging pandemic.

Coming out to support club culture and help raise funds through their performances were acts like Pan-Pot, Anja Schneider, Purple Disco Machine, Nakadia, KEENE, David Hasert, JAMIIE, Franca, LOVRA, MOGUAI, Stella Bossi, and Alle Farben. Those tuning into the streams from these fantastic selectors danced more than 5 million steps across the four events, raising over €55,000 in support of the host venues. But the party isn’t over just yet.

The next stage of the Rave to Save event series will kick off with an elrow collaboration at London’s Tobacco Dock on Saturday, May 8th, 2021, before making its way to more venues across Europe. Hoping to give even more partygoers the chance to dance, donate and make a difference together, Desperados is upping the Rave to Save app’s fundraising function for the next run of shows, with €1 now raised for every 100, rather than 1000, dance steps taken.
