Danny Byrd and D Double E Join Forces on “Selecta”
Two legends from their respective scenes, Danny Byrd and D Double E, join forces for the ultimate crossover collab on Ministry of Sound.
Drum & bass icon Danny Byrd has linked up with grime kingpin D Double E for a huge crossover track, “Selecta” — out now via Ministry of Sound.
During a session in Danny’s studio in Bath, U.K., the track came to life — created to pay homage to their roots and the old school ’90s D&B vibe that both artists rose to prominence around.
Recently selected as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Track by Danny Howard, “Selecta” brings skanking baritone saxophone leads, high-octane jungle breakdowns, and steamrolling bass lines to the forefront. Coupled together with D Double E’s breakneck lyricism and signature ad-libs, this wicked crossover tune is a hefty crowd pleaser for both modern and veteran drum & bass audiences. Check out the track below.
