Camelphat and Yousef Join Forces on “April / One Summer”
The two juggernaut acts of the global dance music scene come together for a joint EP on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep In Sound.
UK duo Camelphat, one of Beatport’s top-selling acts, has united with Circus Recordings boss Yousef for an impactful new two-tracker, April / One Summer.
A follow-up to Camelphat’s recent remix of Yousef & The Angel’s 2013 track “Float Away,” this dream team’s new collaborative release came after performing together at The First Dance, which was the first UK government-sanctioned dance music event, taking place in Liverpool earlier this year.
The record’s A-side, “April,” opens with ascending and heavenly vocals before launching into an arrangement of chugging synths, silky basslines, and bold percussive patterns. “One Summer” takes on a more boisterous tone, with a demeanor that rides a fine line between Balearic bliss and shadowy, main room techno.
