Two dance music titans — Armand Van Helden and Mark Knight — join forces on what has come to be both artists’ most anticipated release of the year, “The Music Began To Play” — out now via Toolroom.

Van Helden’s storied 30-year career has treated us to chart-topping hits like “U Don’t Know Me,” “My My My,” “I Want Your Soul,” and so many others, not to mention his festival headlining project Duck Sauce with A-Trak. As the leader of one of Beatport’s all-time top-selling labels, Toolroom, the venerated Mark Knight is one of the scene’s most prolific DJs and producers. With a dizzying amount of tracks to his name, some of his more recent successes include his Mason collaboration “Givin’ Up,” his Darius Syrossian link-up “Get This Feeling,” and “I Can’t Go For That” with Gene Farris.
