American bass music heavyweight Tyler Marenyi (aka NGHTMRE) finally reveals his debut album, DRMVRSE — out now via LOWLY — which includes features and collaborations from names like SLANDER, Zeds Dead, Oliver Tree, and more.
Accompanied by an audio-visual, psychedelic/Sci-Fi anthology, the collection takes listeners through a journey of long-form music video vignettes that are loosely connected to a “Hero’s Journey,” giving a glimpse into the transdimensional universe that is DRMVRSE. Marenyi connected with a handful of artists to create a selection of live-action, 2D, and 3D animations that tie into each of the album’s tracks.
“I underestimated the amount of work it would be when I had the vision for this album,” said Marenyi. “I can’t thank my entire team enough for the amount of heart and soul we’ve all put into this. We developed an entire universe (DRMVRSE) for this music and storyline to exist in. I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and experience the live show!”
After already racking up millions of plays across the album’s previously released singles, the immersive DRMVRSE will expand upon the world NGHTMRE has created through a combination of bass-heavy, ethereal, and radio-friendly tracks. Listen below.
