Prolific techno enforcer Victor Ruiz has launched a new music label named VOLTA with his latest Pura Vida EP.

The three-track release follows a flurry of breakneck releases from Ruiz in 2022, including records like his sublime Beirut EP on Drumcode and uplifting Surrender EP on Factory 93 Records.

On Pura Vida, Ruiz opens things up with the bombastic, spoken-word roller “What’s That Called?” before taking things deeper with the blinking synth lines and rumbling bass that appears on “Veritas.” Rounding things off with the title track, “Pura Vida” shows off the artist’s knack for large, majestic builds and driving beats — a dance floor opus built with joy in mind. Listen below.

This debut release shows us that VOLTA is clearly a record label to keep an eye on in the future. Follow the label on Beatport, so you don’t miss what’s coming next!
