Beatport Insider: Top-Selling Drum & Bass Tracks, Artists, and Labels (2023)
With Beatport Insider, we dig into key stats from the Beatport store’s top-performing releases that came out over the last six months. This time, we look at the artists and labels that dominated our Drum & Bass sales and streaming charts.
It comes as no surprise that the supergroup link-up between drum & bass allstars Bou, Chase & Status, Flowdan, Irah, and Trigga for their airwave invasion track “Badadan” — which peaked on the overall Beatport Top 100 back in August — comes in as our number one best-selling D&B tune of 2023. Taking over the number two and three spots is the arena-packing artist Dimension, whose track “DJ Turn It Up” and his remix of MK and Dom Dolla’s “Rhyme Dust” made a huge impact on the drum & bass charts this summer.
The imprint Jungle Cakes has done immense work with a flurry of hard-hitting releases, earning them the accolade as Beatport’s overall best-selling drum & bass label in the past six months. The genre institutions Dnb Allstars, Critical Music, and Hospital Records follow them.
With Bou, Chase & Status, Flowden, and Trigga all cracking the top five best-selling drum & bass artists following their immense hit, the legendary Sub Focus has refused to relinquish his crown as Beatport’s number-one D&B act — a feat helped by the release of his widely-received album, Evolve, which dropped back in May of this year.
