JACK WILLARD UNVEILS DEBUT ALBUM ‘ECHOES’ ON COLORIZE
Featuring collaborations with MØØNE, Little Foot, Ava Sofia, Matthew Adam Green, JOSEFINA and Guy Didden.

Boston-based producer, songwriter and musician Jack Willard releases his debut album ‘Echoes’ on Colorize this Friday 2nd October, bringing together a year of personal songwriting, organic instrumentation and electronic production across eleven tracks.
The album arrives following a yearlong campaign that has seen Jack introduce ‘Echoes’ through singles including ‘Light Shines’, ‘Move With Soul’, ‘Give Up The Ghost’, ‘Waiting’ and ‘Searching For You’. The record culminates with ‘Call To Me’, a cinematic collaboration with singer-songwriter MØØNE that reunites the pair following their work together on ‘Everything All At Once’. Her ethereal vocals and soul-stirring lyricism complement Jack’s melodic production, bringing an emotional weight to the album’s final moments.
The singer-songwriter has become a familiar voice across the melodic and progressive scene, with more than 25 million Spotify streams and collaborations with artists including Yotto, Le Youth, mölly, OCULA and Oliver Smith. Her emotionally resonant approach to songwriting makes ‘Call To Me’ a fitting conclusion to a record centred around melody, collaboration and personal expression.
Across ‘Echoes’ Jack explores a more dynamic side of his sound while retaining the melodic sensibility that has defined his work to date. Piano-led songwriting sits alongside detailed electronic production, vocal-driven arrangements and moments that push into more club-focused territory, while tracks such as ‘Lotus’ and ‘Time’ allow space for a more instrumental approach. The album also gives Jack space to explore new sounds and production styles, while building on the melodic foundation that has become central to his music.
The album began with a simple idea. While finishing his previous ‘Patterns’ EP, Jack sketched out around 20 piano ideas and shared them with the Colorize team. A number of vocals were subsequently sourced for the project, giving him the starting points to develop the ideas into full songs. Alongside this, Jack immersed himself in sound design, creating more than 200 original Serum patches that would go on to form part of the sonic palette of ‘Echoes’.
The process became a significant period of learning for Jack, as he balanced the creative demands of making the album with life outside of music. Reflecting on the experience, he says:
I wrote ‘Echoes’ during a period of change and growth in my life. Writing, producing, mixing, and releasing an album while working a corporate job and starting a family was a lot to take on. I’m extremely proud of the result and grateful to everyone who contributed to the project. I learned a ton through the process..
That experience ultimately shaped the way Jack approached the record, with songwriting sitting at the heart of the creative process. Most of the album began with piano chords, with Jack building the productions around the vocal performances where appropriate. The record also grew through a series of organic collaborations, including ‘Light Shines’ with Little Foot and Ava Sofia, ‘Move With Soul’ with Matthew Adam Green, ‘Slow Burn’ with JOSEFINA and ‘Over & Over’ with Guy Didden.
The scale of the project also gave Jack the freedom to move beyond the sound of his previous releases:
The album gave me the space to stretch out and explore different sounds that I haven’t covered before, which was exciting and challenging.
The result is a raw and heartfelt debut that brings together the different sides of Jack’s musical identity: songwriter, producer and musician. Familiar elements of his earlier Colorize material remain, particularly the melodic foundation that first connected with listeners on 2023’s ‘Big Sky’, while ‘Echoes’ moves into new territory through its vocal collaborations, production and broader range of tempos and styles.
Jack’s relationship with Colorize has been central to that evolution. Since ‘Big Sky’ became his debut release on the label, the track has continued to receive regular SiriusXM Chill airplay, helping establish a connection between Jack’s music and the label’s global audience. Since then, his catalogue has accumulated more than 50 million streams, alongside over 250 SiriusXM Chill spins, BBC Radio 1 support and more than 500 radio plays across 20 countries. His music has also received support from Above & Beyond, Sultan + Shepard, PRAANA and Mees Salomé.
With ‘Echoes’ Jack Willard arrives at a defining point in his development as an artist, bringing together the sounds, collaborators and experiences that have shaped his journey so far while opening the door to where his music can go next.
