Beatport Launches Space Jam DJ Challenge: Win a Custom Hercules Controller
Beatport and Looney Tunes mark Space Jam’s 30th anniversary with a DJ competition built around Quad City DJ’s classic. Entries close October 16.

Thirty years after Quad City DJ’s sent “Space Jam” bouncing out of cinema speakers, Beatport is putting the track back in DJs’ hands. To celebrate the film’s 30th anniversary, Beatport and Looney Tunes have launched the Space Jam DJ Challenge, inviting selectors to give the soundtrack staple a fresh spin.
The winning DJ will take home a custom, one-of-one Space Jam x Hercules DJControl T10, alongside exclusive Space Jam merchandise and a chance to play a special event in California.
How you approach the track is up to you. Scratching, beat juggling, chopping, remixing or a complete reimagining are all on the table. You might pull apart that familiar hook, build a routine around its bounce or take it somewhere nobody sees coming. The challenge is to make it your own and show what you can do behind the decks.
