Inside Enrico Rosica and Timo Maas’s Collaboration
...And How Ivye's Vocals Changed The Entire Direction

Enrico Rosica told me something about “No More” that I keep coming back to: the song had a different tone before Ivye joined it. They talked, she brought her voice to the production, and he changed direction. I like knowing that because it tells me what each person contributed to the finished record. Rosica and Timo Maas released “No More” recently, on September 25 on Magnetic, with a Vocal Mix and an Enrico Rosica Dub Mix available.
This collaboration came together in Rimini. Producer Francesco Mami connected Rosica with Maas, while Ivye, whose name is Francesca Pianini Mazzucchetti, is also from the area. Even the release artwork was made locally by photographer Filippo Zaghini, adding a personal, local touch to the music's vibe. Maas has the international history people will recognize immediately, but Rosica’s relationships in Rimini played a big part in how this record happened.
The Vocal Changed the Song
I asked Rosica recently about the decisions behind “No More,” and he told me the Vocal Mix began as another kind of song. Ivye’s performance gave him a reason to reconsider it. Her lyrics deal with appearances, screens, and the pressure people feel to present themselves to others, so the vocal carries a specific idea alongside the production. You can hear why Rosica gave that idea its own version of the track.
Then there is his Dub Mix, which gives a DJ another way to use the record. Rosica told me he wants alternate versions to retain a connection, with recurring sounds that let you recognize the same composition even when the emphasis changes. As a DJ, I want that choice. Some nights I can make room for the full lyric, while a different set calls for the production underneath it.
Maas and Rosica have made versions for those situations, and the recurring elements keep them related.
Multiple radio programs have already included the track to their global audiences, with Mike van Brugge playing Rosica’s Dub Mix in the September 17 episode of Flipside Radio while Rob Zile took another route on his September 22 Brain Food Radio show for Kiss FM Australia.
Black Coffee and Goran Meyer have already given the Vocal Mix nods of support during the initial promo campaigns.
Rosica and Ivye are also marking the release at Easy in Rimini the weekend of the relaese, with Ivye due to perform “No More” live and Rosica playing a DJ set to add an extra live layer to the release.
