Celebrating two years of Quack Squawk Honk, Quackiversary Vol. 2 showcases the label's artists at their core.

This year we have label boss, Artsychoke alongside frequent artists on the label such as CorVett, Rodney Dinkles and returning remixer, LEGWRK. Phoenesse is joining Quack Squawk Honk for the very first time as a vocalist on Coolhand Shuffle with CorVett. This is her very first release and we are stoked to welcome her into the Quack family on such a wholesome family EP.

"mind is a circus" is a spooky Tech House track made by Artsychoke that has her original songwriting and vocals. It has a bendy 303 bass with eerie background vocals supporting the storyline of the lyrics. Artsychoke made this track after a night out on last New Years Eve, making this her very first song of the year on January 1st, 2026. The song is about what it feels like to justify your hardships by pondering if everything you’ve overcome was in fact a stepping stone to who you are now.

"Coolhand Shuffle" is a house track with prominent bouncy percussion and original vocals from Phoenesse. The song has a similar meaning and concept to the first track on the EP. The song revolves around how the twists of fate play a role in the “cards we are dealt” aka our reality, our hardships, our experiences. The message is for anyone who has been dealt a difficult hand in life, reminding you that no matter how hard or what challenges we face, we must forge onwards with optimism about the future. With CorVett’s production and Phoenesse’s soft-spoken vocals, a collaboration like this one is unique and captivating to the underground sounds of dance music.

The LEGWRK Remix of "Jiggly Wiggly" by Rodney Dinkles is a bouncy Hardgroove track that stays upbeat and danceable with eerie FX and percussion. The original song came out back in June of 2026 and it was so well loved and catchy that LEGWRK reached out and asked to put his spin on the tune. Rodney Dinkles and LEGWRK both share a love of Hardgroove and fast paced danceable tracks, putting their production together was inevitable.

Enjoy this short interview with the producers of Quack Squawk Honk:

Q: How has your artist project changed and developed over the past two years? What has influenced the direction of your project?

Rodney Dinkles: “Oh wowwieeee it’s been a journey. Two years ago I was strictly making tech house influenced by the older Dirtybird records but my journey has blossomed into a whole new direction. I remember getting a call from Justin Jay and we spoke on the phone for about an hour talking about how faster bpm stuff is really hitting in Europe. After that conversation I remember hopping on Ableton with him over zoom to work on a track together and we transformed an older tech house track into a faster version with a few new elements and I was having so much fun experimenting with faster BPMs. Don’t get me wrong… I’ve definitely dabbled with trying to make faster songs since the beginning of my journey but I really started taking it more seriously after that collab we worked on. I later took his production class once again and throughout the entire experience I don’t think I made one slow track. Everything was at least 140+ or higher and I had a great time and was having fun the entire process. Ever since I haven’t been slowing down and have actually been experimenting with more genres than I could have ever imagined. Also the fact that everyone in my music community was also on the faster grind was just helping me stay inspired and motivated to keep this momentum going.”

CorVett: “My vision as an artist has changed and grown over the last two years with my goals shifting from trying to get as much music out there as possible to refining, defining and dialling in on my sound. Creating tracks that will make someone's head pop up and maybe say hmmm is that CorVett?”

LEGWRK: “I'd say my project has stayed steady since I started, I remember before I created this project, I wanted to go back to my roots, because with my other alias that began years ago, I felt that I strayed away from my foundation; worrying about what's hot & what labels wanted to hear, what the people wanted to hear. Eventually I had enough and dialed back in and wanted to make music only for me, regardless of what others thought. If I thought it sounded sexy then that's all that mattered. I stopped listening to whatever was being put out and went under a rock so to speak & made whatever was inside my head. And til this day I continue to do that.”

Artsychoke: “I would say I have reached a point of freedom in my music where I started going where the wind takes me. I have always been genre inclusive with my production but I was so focused on finishing older songs and collaborations but I’ve learned that sometimes not every song is meant to be finished. Now that I am going with what inspires me in the moment, I have been pumping out tracks a lot faster instead of worrying about finishing a track before starting the next one, sometimes following your inspiration makes you create exactly what you want to make in the moment. This has led me to making a lot faster bpm tracks as well, I have really been interested in Bounce and Trance and I am sure there will be a lot more coming from me in those genres soon.”

Q: Who are your current musical influences and how do they inspire you?

CorVett: “I grew up listening to the sounds of Motown, Disco and Classic rock as a child so those are influences that have been there as long as I can remember. As I grew I got more rebellious and dove into both punk and hip hop phases which still to this day shape my musical tastes and my sound. I love music that tells a story and that you can feel the artist live the song. Steve Earle is a huge influence on me for this reason, his music honestly made me a better person, you can hear his experiences in every bit of one of his songs. Finally my love of house music and EDM grew out of my love of festivals and connecting to people, my biggest influence being Dirtybird events, seeing artist like Walker & Royce, VNSSA & Nala amongst the many others, showed me just how much fun making and sharing music can be, it inspired me to want to do this and make my own sound and be able to share that with anyone who’s ears perk up.”

Rodney Dinkles: “I’ll always be a Claude Vonstroke fan. Even though I’m making faster music these days you’ll still find me trying to make a wonky tech house track every once in a while. Claude is what introduced me into the rave community to begin with and his sound will always have an influence in my production.”

Artsychoke: “I have been heavily inspired by the electro punk wave in dance music lately. Artists like Sextile, PVA, AK Sports, Idoru and Girl Math. As someone who has a love for post punk and punk rock music in general, it feels only natural that I gravitate towards it in electronic music as well. You will always catch me vibing and producing quirky bouncy dance music of any kind though, I feel like that is my safe zone. I really love Mija, Bad Boombox, Justin Jay and Morelia’s tunes”

LEGWRK: “It's not so much who, it's more so what. The sounds, the vibrations, the feeling that songs give out is what influences me. If it makes my body move, if it hits my soul, if it raises the hairs on my skin , I know that's what got my wheels turning. Inspiration is everywhere, from vocals & to the sounds we hear in any genre & not just in music but from the life that we live in.”

Q: What is your favorite song on Quack Squawk Honk? What is your favorite song of yours on Quack Squawk Honk?

Rodney Dinkles: “That's a tough one. QSH releases so many freaking bangers and I love so many songs on this label but if I had to pick one I would probably say my favorite song on QSH is Yup by BLK&WHT, Vamps. My favorite song of mine on QSH is probably my collaboration with the label duck mama Artsychoke “Wait, What”. I love working with her and we always cook up the qwerkiest lil’ tunes imaginable and we cannot be stopped. That one always gets me and funny enough it’s a dubstep track which I’m getting more and more into these days”

CorVett: “My fave Quack Squawk Honk track has got to be my homie HARRISII’s track, “Cash Bag”, I just find it hits in all the right places, definitely one I try to make room for in my sets every time! My favourite track of my own on Quack Squawk Honk has to be Choo Choo Train (feat. Kidd Luna) (CorVett remix). I feel with this remix I really found my sound and enjoyed putting my spin and vibe into an already fantastic bumpin’ track. I was able to incorporate a train whistle I found and take samples of the Toronto Subway announcements to really give it the train flair I was feeling. I had a ton of fun with it and I feel it shows in the end result.”

Artsychoke: “I can’t answer this because I love every song I have ever signed!!!!!”
