Ricardo Villalobos & DJ Sneak remix Shaboom featuring Mark Bell classic "Woman Cry"

As part of iconic producer Mark “Shaboom/Blakkat” Bell’s monumental retooling and re-release of the quintessential “Mecca Funk" album, come three reworkings of one of the album's most requested tracks "Woman Cry".

A copper-bottomed classic and one of the all time favourites of the late Andrew Weatherall - who opened his timeless Heavenly Social dj mix album with the track, no less - "Woman Cry" receives remixes from the legends Ricardo Villalobos and DJ Sneak, and also a mix from enthralling in-demand DJ/producer Spatial Awareness.

Long term Fabric favourite Ricardo Villalobos takes the 1999 original on a journey through nocturnal minimalistic soundscapes, teasing euphoria along the way as only he can. DJ Sneak ups the house quotient with a bumping bass heavy dubtastic dancefloor epic... And completing the trio Spatial Awareness turns in a reverential workout infused with his signature electronic feels.

This is so refreshingly different. Perhaps too low key for my regular sets but I will find a home for it…
