Head Trip x Floating Points Unveil Sunflower Sound System Lineup with Ben UFO, Theo Parrish, Eris Drew + More

Audiophiles, prepare yourselves. Sam Shepherd, aka Floating Points, has revealed the all-star roster for the highly anticipated US debut of his custom-built Sunflower Sound System, touching down at Goldenvoice’s Head Trip festival at the Empire Polo Club on October 10-11.

The bespoke hi-fi environment will host an elite crew of sonic innovators. Joining Sam Shepherd in Indio are longtime collaborator Four Tet, Hessle Audio’s Ben UFO, Avalon Emerson, dynamic duo Eris Drew & Octo Octa, dub pioneer Mad Professor, Detroit legend Theo Parrish, and Zach Cowie.

More than a stage, the Sunflower Sound System is a 360-degree spatial listening experience housed within an acoustically treated dome. Ten custom speaker stacks encircle the dance floor, delivering unparalleled, physical clarity.

“It’s an honour to host some jams in the desert,” Shepherd shared, noting recent sonic tweaks like flying tweeter arrays, infill speakers, and a giant mechanical mirrorball dubbed the “Cosmosphere” that will bloom above its patrons as the dance floor euphoria peaks.

Beyond the dome, Goldenvoice’s single-stage setup brings massive draws like Calvin Harris and Seth Troxler B2B Ben Sterling on Saturday, plus Swedish House Mafia and Skrillex closing out Sunday.
