Behind The Label: Nehza Records
Beatport explores Nehza Records with founder RONI, the Paris-based imprint pushing new voices across techno, bass music, and the stranger edges of club culture.

RONI has built Nehza Records around an unlikely but magnetic collision: hard-hitting club music on one side, the beauty and strangeness of the natural world on the other.
Founded in 2021 by the Parisian-Malaysian DJ, the label quickly became a home for music that takes risks without losing sight of the dance floor. Techno, bass, breaks, Latin rhythms and heavy percussion all move through the catalog, but Nehza has never tried to force its artists into one recognizable sound. The excitement comes from not quite knowing what the next record will do.
That instinct has pulled together an increasingly formidable cast. Doctor Jeep, Yas Reven, Ma Sha, Slim Soledad, RHR, Bluetoof, Mabel, Aloka, Nikki Nair, WOST, Hassan Abou Alam, and more have all passed through its orbit, each bringing something sharply individual to the conversation. Early releases soon grew into club nights at La Station in Paris and appearances across Europe.
Running underneath all of it is RONI’s fascination with nature. Named after the 1979 animated film Nezha Conquers The Dragon King, the label uses sound and visual art to draw attention back toward the natural world, its beauty, its fragility, and its capacity to completely overwhelm you.
That contrast leaves a mark. Nehza can hit hard, surprise you, and still leave you looking at the world a little differently afterward.
