Amsterdam Dance Event has pulled its backing from Komplott and Overgave over their decision to book Shlømo for an October 21 party at Panama Amsterdam.

ADE announced the move on Sunday, saying the promoters’ public response to the backlash ran directly against its values. The organization acknowledged that its festival is decentralized and promoters control their own lineups. Still, it drew a firm line: events carrying the ADE name must meet its standards.

Hard techno artist Shlømo, whose real name is Shaun Baron-Carvais, has been accused of sexual misconduct, rape, psychological abuse and making death threats. The allegations surfaced in February, when a former Steer Management booking agent shared screenshots concerning Shlømo and fellow hard techno artists Basswell, Fantasm, Odymel and CARV.

Baron-Carvais denies the allegations, calling them part of a “slander and misinformation” campaign. In June, a lawyer representing one alleged victim confirmed that a criminal complaint had been filed and an investigation was underway.

Dutch DJs Xamuel and Within, who were slotted to play the event alongside Shlømo, had already dropped out of the party before ADE stepped in.

Komplott x Overgave has now been removed from the official festival program. The promoters and Panama can still hold the event independently, but it will have no connection to ADE.
