Userwave’s “Ontocentrism” Returns With a Dreamlike Pyramid of Knowledge Rework
Secret Weapon Records revisits a 2008 electro original with a new Vector Mix from the French producer based in South Korea.

Secret Weapon Records continues its exploration of the label’s early catalogue with the return of Userwave’s “Ontocentrism”. Originally released on Userwave’s 2008 The Illuminated Light EP, the track stood out for its atmospheric melodies, crisp machine rhythms and futuristic electro character. The new release pairs a remastered version of the original with a fresh Pyramid of Knowledge Vector Mix.
Behind Userwave is Canadian producer Jason Justin, whose work has appeared under several aliases, including Symplx and Imitryx, across labels such as Great Lakes Records, Mutex USA, Steel City and Secret Weapon Records. His productions have consistently balanced abstraction and function with a focus on detailed, forward-thinking electronic music.
For the rework, Secret Weapon turns to Pyramid of Knowledge, the French producer based in South Korea who has developed a distinctive style through releases on Beyond The Bridge, Dream Ticket, Craigie Knowes, Hard Beach Entertainment and Mana Abundance. His Vector Mix keeps the core spirit of “Ontocentrism” intact while expanding its atmosphere through dubby textures, deep synth work and delicate melodic fragments. The result is spacious, hypnotic and immersive, connecting the original’s electro roots with a contemporary perspective.
Userwave’s “Ontocentrism (Pyramid of Knowledge Vector Mix)” is available now on Secret Weapon Records, alongside the remastered original.
