The "Not Alone EP" marks a powerful debut on We Are The Brave, showcasing Procombo's raw and hypnotic sound while reinforcing the label's forward-thinking techno direction.
The title track "Not Alone" sets the tone with a driving and hypnotic groove built around thumping low end, rolling percussion, and an uplifting spoken-word vocal. Eerie yet emotive, it creates a captivating late-night atmosphere.
"Rolling Pressure" follows with a deep, rolling techno cut driven by raw synth patterns and relentless momentum. Hypnotic and immersive, the track steadily builds tension while its repeating melodic elements pull listeners deeper into the groove.
"Groove Operator" shifts towards a more groove-led direction, combining a thick low end with tight drums, rhythmic vocal cuts, and crisp percussion. Bold and direct, it delivers infectious energy while maintaining a powerful forward drive.
Closing the EP, "Base Z" brings a warmer feel, blending uplifting synths with hypnotic rhythms and subtle swing. Atmospheric yet groove-focused, it provides a lighter moment while staying true to the EP's driving techno identity.
Istanbul-based artist Procombo (Gokce Ozer) has been a key figure within the Turkish electronic music scene since the mid-1990s. His productions have appeared on respected labels including CLR, Truncate, Rekids, Planet Rhythm, Suara, and KD RAW, while his work as the creator of Big Burn Istanbul and resident DJ at RX Istanbul has helped shape the country's underground scene.
