Denon DJ Launches PRIME 4 G2 Standalone DJ System

Denon DJ has unveiled PRIME 4 G2, a new four-channel, four-deck standalone DJ system built for mobile, club, festival and event use.

The headline addition is a set of 16 MPCe performance pads, billed as the first multi-zone pads on a standalone rig. Velocity, pressure and 3D sensing let DJs layer controls for Hot Cues, Stems, Rolls, FX and lighting within a single pad.

Under the hood, an eight-core ARM processor and 4GB of RAM deliver four times the processing power of the original PRIME 4. The system also brings onboard Stems rendering, 8-inch jog wheels with LED displays, a 10.1-inch touchscreen and more than 40 internal effects.

SoundSwitch-powered DMX control is built directly into the unit, while Wi-Fi opens access to several streaming services. Denon DJ hardware is compatible with Beatport Streaming through Engine DJ, allowing DJs to browse and play Beatport’s catalog straight from supported hardware. 

PRIME 4 G2 is available now for $2,599 / €2,699.99 / £2,299.99 through authorized Denon DJ dealers and select music retailers worldwide.
