Anyma Releases New Label's Debut Compilation, 'ÆDEN: Digital Renaissance Vol. I'

Earlier in August, Anyma described ÆDEN RECORDS' “melodic core” as a defining feature of the newly established label, distributed by Interscope/Virgin. Now, it hums to life on ÆDEN: Digital Renaissance Vol. I, the imprint’s debut compilation album.

At 15 tracks, the project offers a focused look at the sound and philosophy that will drive ÆDEN: as Anyma puts it, “Broad and cross-genre, but always with a melodic core at heart.”

Equally central to the label's ethos are the principles of “Standing for new ideas, collaboration, and perhaps most importantly experimentation. Exploring how creativity can evolve in this modern world," the Italian producer wrote on Instagram. 

Across the LP, Anyma and a coterie of collaborators, including Argy, Goom Gum, Kevin de Vries, and Massano, set out on this aptly titled digital renaissance together. Led by “Other Dimension” alongside Volkoder – ÆDEN’s inaugural release – the album ranges sonically while maintaining the poise, polish, and cohesive creative direction that have become the visionary’s signature.

It opens with Anyma’s “Atoma,” a thunderous statement centered on a high-octane synth progression that moves with urgency and presence, setting the tone for both the album and ÆDEN. From there, Argy and 7 SKIES’ “Murda” furthers the momentum with similarly dark, full-throttle energy that burns bright without burning out. A steady, all-night pulse beats throughout the project, serving as a barometer of where its enigmatic curator is creatively these days: completely locked in.

Conceptually, ÆDEN: Digital Renaissance Vol. I operates within the same visual and textural world as the live show of the same name that Anyma debuted during Weekend 2 of Coachella. On its cover, a group of statuesque figures stands frozen in various gestures, contrasted against bright, blocky modern font and a black background that cuts the neoclassical image a modern, futuristic edge. 

Since presenting the world premiere of ÆDEN’s production in Indio, Anyma has taken the arresting experience around the world, with stops in Shanghai, London, Brussels, Mexico City, and more, with additional shows planned in Istanbul, Milan, Athens, and beyond. The run's crown jewel is Anyma's residency at [UNVRS] Ibiza, where motifs of architecture, history, and art converge in an immersive live show that matches the caliber of Anyma’s Genesys production, if not surpassing it. 

The globetrotter returns to the United States for ARC Festival in Chicago on September 6. In the meantime, ÆDEN: Digital Renaissance Vol. I is out now via ÆDEN RECORDS.
