4K & Anjeli link up for ‘fondofme’ on Crucast
Rising Drum & Bass producer 4K continues his Crucast run alongside emerging vocalist Anjeli.
4K is quickly becoming one of the most exciting emerging names in Drum & Bass. With more than 28 million streams across his catalogue, his melodic, vocal-led approach has helped build a growing audience, with tracks including u notice me, Look For Me, thru my mind and burning forming part of his rise.
His relationship with Crucast began earlier this year with dontletgo, his collaboration with Olivia Rose and the lead single from the label’s New Era 3 compilation. The track has since passed 260,000 Spotify streams, picked up BBC Radio 1 Dance support and became one of the standout records from the project, helping establish 4K as one of the new artists to watch from the Crucast roster.
Now he returns with fondofme, teaming up with rising vocalist Anjeli for his first standalone single on the label. Anjeli comes to the collaboration from a different corner of UK music, building her name through Hip-Hop and R&B with releases including Life I Never Had, No Luck and her On The Radar Freestyle. fondofme brings the two artists together for the first time, combining 4K’s Drum & Bass production with Anjeli’s vocal style.
Released on 21 August, the collaboration is already starting strongly, picking up BBC Radio 1 support alongside a place on Beatport’s Drum & Bass chart. For 4K, it continues a breakout year and builds on his growing relationship with Crucast, while introducing Anjeli to a new side of the UK electronic scene.
