ATRIP Wrote His Hypnotic New Single "Langur" in the Vietnamese Jungle

ATRIP’s next move started nowhere near a club. “Langur,” a hypnotic new club track, was made during a break from touring inside a wildlife reserve on Vietnam’s south coast.

With jungle outside and months of noise rattling around his head, the Beatport Next Class of 2026 artist started working out what came next. The answer was not some clean break with the dance floor. “Langur” moves with the snap and pressure that runs through a lot of ATRIP’s records, but there is space in it – a nervous melodic shimmer, a haunting vocal incantation and a restless pull that sticks after the drums fade.

Speaking about the new single, ATRIP states:

With the residue of countless festivals and nightclubs still lingering on my creative core, I wanted to make something that appeals to the dancefloor, without ridding itself of the possibility of a quiet living room listen. There is a hypnotic and perhaps slightly impatient sense of longing in this record I resonate with a lot.

The single follows his Chris Lake collaboration “Make You Fight” and the DJ BORING team-up “Keep It Up." It pushes the world of his TANZPARTEI mixtapes and KLUBPARTEI EP somewhere stranger, looser and less obvious.

ATRIP's single "Langur" is out now via his TANZPARTEI imprint.
