Chris Stussy Adopts New Name: Chris Stassy

The Dutch DJ and producer has changed his artist name to Chris Stassy, marking a new chapter for one of house music’s most in-demand names.

Niels Christian Steenbergen announced the change on Instagram today, August 18, sharing a simple message: “One letter, same mind. Same music, same vibe.”

For now, the change appears limited to the artist name. His Up The Stuss label and USS event series will keep their existing names.

The rebrand arrives just months after a major moment in Steenbergen’s career. In April, he released his 19-track debut album, 'Lost, Found & Forgotten…', via Up The Stuss, following the release of “Darkness” and the album’s first chapter earlier this year.

Chris Stassy will debut the new name at his N.A.M.E. party in Birmingham on August 22, with further dates including Amsterdam later this month. The music, however, remains the same. One letter has changed. The Stussy era, it seems, has simply entered its next chapter.
