YOLA Returns to Get Physical Music With “Give Me Your Reason”
The São Paulo producer brings warm Afro House percussion, lush melodic chords and expressive vocal textures to the label.
Brazilian producer YOLA returns to Get Physical Music with “Give Me Your Reason”, an uplifting and emotional single that sits naturally between Afro House and Melodic House. Following a series of releases on the label’s sister imprint METAPHYSICAL, the São Paulo artist reconnects with Get Physical through a record that reflects his fluid and distinctly personal approach to electronic music.
Built around warm percussion and rich melodic synth chords, “Give Me Your Reason” develops with a sense of warmth and longing. Its vocal phrases are central to the arrangement, adding movement and character while the groove remains focused and dancefloor-ready. The result is equally suited to open-air sets, daytime gatherings and sun-soaked festival moments.
The release also carries a personal studio story. It began as an attempt to remix Lovebirds’ “Want You In My Soul” before naturally evolving into an original composition. YOLA wrote new vocal parts, then chopped, stretched, pitch-shifted and layered them into the production. Guitar textures, played on the first Fender Stratocaster he owned, add another organic detail to a record that balances musicality, emotion and contemporary club energy.
