Eight Emerging Artists On Our Radar: August 2026
Welcome back to On Our Radar, Beatportal’s monthly roundup of the DJs and producers we can’t get enough of.
Cameron Holbrook
DJ YUKI
London DJ, producer, and vocalist DJ YUKI makes high-energy house music built around rolling basslines, bold vocals, and a strong visual identity. Her new single “The Baddest” on GLAZD Records is exactly that: a self-belief chant with a bassline, sleek but still raw around the edges. The numbers are already loud: 17 million streams, three Spotify editorial covers, BBC Radio 1, KISS, SiriusXM, plus support from Armin van Buuren, Diplo, and Jamie Jones. From London Pride to Grand Prix stages, YUKI is turning confidence into a whole dance floor operating system.
Ellia Jaya
Ellia Jaya’s lane is groove-heavy UK house with driving basslines, chopped vocals, and peak-time punch. We first properly locked into the Manchester DJ and producer during her 2025 Creamfields set, where that sharp, high-energy style came through loud and clear. She found her spark during an Ibiza season in 2018, and you can still hear that island snap in her records: clean grooves, direct drums, no dead air. Her new single “Super Powers” comes loaded with chopped ’90s hip-hop vocals, following releases through Bass Jamz, Max Dean’s neXup, TSZ, and Dansu Discs. She’s now a key part of the Bass Jamz world, appearing across Gaskin’s fresh Energy Crew album series on standouts like "Morning Light" and "Dream Or Fantasy" while also holding it down at the label’s Ibiza residency at 528. It’s a strong look for Ellia, and another reason this mighty Mancunian feels like one of UK house’s most exciting new operators.
Hidde van Wee
Hidde van Wee makes groove-led house with a sharp Dutch touch, pulling from UKG, electro, deep tech, and stripped-back club functionality. The producer has been moving quickly with releases on Up The Stuss, HOME//GRXWN, LOCUS, and Eastenderz already putting him in good company. His next move is the Apollo EP, a four-track EP landing August 21 on Sidney Charles’ Heavy House Society, and it feels like the clearest snapshot yet of where his sound is heading. Across the record, he moves between rich percussion, warm synths, chopped vocals, deep tech low-end, and atmospheric detail built for both open-air sessions and darker underground rooms. Following his recent Dawn Of Day EP on LOCUS and booth time at Shelter, Thuishaven, BRET, Toffler, and various UK clubs, Hidde’s momentum feels locked in. Elegant house music that knows where its hips are.
Lilya Mandre
Moroccan DJ and producer Lilya Mandre moves between deep house, melodic house, minimal, indie dance, and techno with a sound built for rooms that want feeling as much as function. Born and raised in Casablanca, she brings emotional pull to records and sets that never feel flat or overly sweet. She's locked in Keinemusik support, a summer residency with Damian Lazarus at Hï Ibiza, plus sets at MOGA, Stereobar Montreal, La Clairière, Picnik Electronik, Day Zero, KOKO, Club Chinois, and more. Her new KOOKOO Records single “Harper” goes moodier. The track is built around a strong lead vocal, warm analogue touches, glassy synths, and a smattering of '80s nostalgia. It has plenty of mood, but never overplays it, giving Lilya’s groove enough room to breathe.
Matrefakt
Liverpool duo Matrefakt deal in groove-driven house and techno with rolling basslines, tight percussion, and a strong UK club backbone. Since 2019, they’ve built a serious catalog across Shall Not Fade, Running Back, Of Unsound Mind, Sous Music, Ware House Music, and their own Attitudes To Life imprint, while picking up support from Mella Dee, Sally C, Cromby, Bicep, Skream, and Peggy Gou. Their latest Raid EP brings them back to Gou’s GUDU imprint after Filt, landing as another four-track dose of stellar Matrefakt club muscle: playful and sharp without sanding off the personality. With sets at Watergate, Sisyphos, Creamfields, Secret Garden Party, and Circus behind them, Matrefakt have become exactly the kind of duo DJs trust when the room needs to move.
ring noord
ring noord is the audiovisual project of Nik Roos, formerly of Noisia and now behind Sleepnet, and Jasper Scholma, known as Former, two artists who came into this project with serious technical weight already behind them. The Dutch duo pull from drum & bass, techno, hardcore, UK garage, IDM, emo, and ambient music, then strip away anything that feels too easy. Their Lownoise EP on Vision Recordings is all brutalist drums, skeletal tension, noise, repetition, and space that starts to feel hostile if you stare at it too long. After the more melodic, techno-leaning Everything Is Still To Come on Anetha’s Mama Told Ya which came out this past June, Lownoise swings the other way: darker, harder, and cut down to bare concrete. That contrast says a lot about how talented and versatile ring noord already are, moving between beauty, abrasion, club function, and full audiovisual weirdness without losing the thread.
SAPIAN
SAPIAN is not easing into the scene. At 22, he’s arriving with one of the year’s loudest co-signs already attached. “Reason Why” has been doing serious damage long before release, moving from underground ID to one of those records people keep chasing in clubs, clips, and dodgy YouTube rips. Millions of TikTok views, hundreds of thousands of SoundCloud plays, and support from heavyweights like Anyma, Cloonee, Josh Baker, SOSA, Gaskin, Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, and Mau P. Now it lands as the first release on Prophecy, the freshly minted label from Prospa, Beatport’s #1 best-selling artist of the year (so far). That is not just a co-sign. It is a flare in the sky. By handing SAPIAN the first release, Prospa are making it very clear who they think is next. Groove, tension, personality, and a drop that knows exactly how to get the crowd jumping.
Wigs
Wigs sits in the warm, atmospheric corner of progressive house, with electro, balearic, and techno all moving through his sets and productions. The South London producer and DJ, born Wilf Auty and raised in rural Devon, has been quietly carving out his corner with releases on Discoteca, Fuaim, Companion, Hâws, Goddezz, and Correspondent. His recent VSION05 EP distills that slow-burn approach into four patient, rolling cuts built on hazy summer tension, driving basslines, and grooves that reveal themselves in layers. Spray, Kettama, Chris Stussy, HAAi, Mama Snake, and Roza Terenzi have already been keeping his tracks close. As a resident at Meanwhile, his sets have become proper word-of-mouth business, building through light, shade, restraint and a slow pull that simply gets you there.
