Fairplay & Roo (JO) bring the sound of Amman to Places & Spaces with 'Al Jaw'

Jordanian artists Fairplay and Roo (JO) release 'Al Jaw' on Pete Tong's Places & Spaces. The track is built around an Arabic vocal, set within a hypnotic, driving club groove. Fairplay and Roo spent the summer playing it out from home shows in Amman to supporting Keinemusik in Athens. Label head Pete Tong debuted the track at IMS Dalt Vila in April and it has also had early support from Black Coffee, Themba and ULU's Robin M.

Fairplay are an electronic duo from Jordan blending house music with Arabic textures, storytelling and atmosphere, and co-founders of Vudu Amman, a record label and events series in Jordan. Roo (JO) is a Jordanian producer and DJ, founder of URoof Lounge and co-founder of Vudu Amman, with releases on Magnifik Music, When We Dip, XYZ and Zatar Music. His 2025 track 'Yangu' reached #1 on Beatport's Afro House Releases chart.

The Arabic vocal was the starting point for 'Al Jaw'. Growing up in Jordan, these sounds have always been part of our identity, so blending them with a modern club groove felt completely natural. After months of playing it in our sets, we're excited to finally share it with everyone.
