One Record, Two Sides: Turno, Gino & Nersha Drop ‘Rewind’ on Crucast

Turno, Gino and Nersha come together for the first time on ‘Rewind’, a new Crucast collaboration built around one record with two distinct identities. Instead of asking one version to work everywhere, the trio have created a release that embraces both sides of modern Drum & Bass, from radio and streaming to clubs and festival sets.

The collaboration brings together three artists at different stages of increasingly impressive careers. Turno has spent more than a decade at the forefront of Jump Up, becoming one of the genre’s biggest international names through chart-topping releases and relentless touring. Gino represents the next generation, rapidly building his reputation through major DJ support, standout Crucast releases and an increasingly busy touring schedule. Nersha, meanwhile, has emerged as one of Drum & Bass’s most exciting new vocalists, songwriters and DJs, taking the momentum of her Crucast releases onto festival stages and international tours.

Leading the release, the Sunrise Edit puts Nersha’s vocal at the centre while showcasing a more melodic side of Turno and Gino’s production, creating a version suited to radio, streaming and everyday listening. The alternative version heads in the opposite direction, harnessing the producers’ darker Jump Up style with DJs and the dancefloor firmly in mind.

Rather than choosing between accessibility and underground impact, ‘Rewind’ gives both their own space. It’s the same song viewed from two sides of the rave: the intensity of the night and the sunrise that follows.
