RÜFÜS DU SOL Tease Touring Hiatus: "We're Not Going to Be Touring for a Solid Amount of Time"

RÜFÜS DU SOL teased their upcoming hiatus from touring following their 2026 North American tour, telling fans they won’t return to the road until they have new music to share.

“We told ourselves before we walked out on stage we’ve got to make the most of this...so let’s really enjoy this because we’re not going to be touring for a solid amount of time until we have new music, and I can’t wait to share that with you, whatever that sounds like,” the group told the crowd assembled at their August 6 show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. 

The concert is the first of a five-date series at the Forum, spanning Aug. 6– 7 and 11– 13, with a stop at San Francisco’s Outside Lands festival smack in the middle on Aug. 9.

The tour kicked off with a pair of shows at The Gorge Amphitheatre in June and has since taken the Aussie electronic trio through a series of major cities, including Chicago, Washington, DC, New York, and Mexico City. That same month, RÜFÜS DU SOL made history by selling out four consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden – the most by an electronic artist performing at the famed venue, according to Billboard.

In addition to Outside Lands, the tour’s festival appearances have spanned Bonnaroo in June, with Austin City Limits planned for October. From Inglewood, RÜFÜS DU SOL will remain on the road throughout August and into the fall, with upcoming stops in San Diego, Phoenix, Boulder, Atlantic City, and Pittsburgh.

The group released its latest album, Inhale / Exhale, in 2024, followed by two companion remix albums, Inhale / Exhale Remixed, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, in 2025.
