Remix Westend & Lizzy Land’s “Surrender” for a Chance at an Official Trace Amounts Release

Change The Beat and NYC-based record label Trace Amounts have teamed up with LabelRadar and Native Instruments for a new remix contest centered around Westend and Lizzy Land’s “Surrender.”

The contest invites women and gender-expansive producers from the Change The Beat community to download the official stems and rebuild “Surrender” in their own style. The winning producer will have the chance to land an official release on Trace Amounts, alongside a major Native Instruments prize package.

Released earlier this year on Trace Amounts, “Surrender” pairs Westend’s club-focused production with Lizzy Land’s soaring vocal, leaving plenty of room for producers to pull the track in a completely different direction.

Founded by Sydney Blu, Change The Beat is a nonprofit dedicated to increasing representation across electronic music. Through its ongoing remix contests, mentorship programs, workshops and industry partnerships, the organization has helped secure more than 100 label signings for women and gender-expansive producers.

To enter, producers must identify as a woman or gender-expansive, join the Change The Beat Discord, download the stems through LabelRadar, and submit their remix through the official contest page.
