El Tony Mate and Beatport Launch Ibiza Producer Academy Competition

El Tony Mate is teaming up with Beatport for the second edition of its Producer Academy, sending eight emerging producers from across Europe to Ibiza for a week of studio work, coaching and collaboration.

The Academy runs from October 1-7, 2026, inside an exclusive villa on the island. Flights, accommodation and food are covered. So is a packed week of sessions on production, mixing, sound design and arrangement, led by SKALA and Kid Simius. The winners will also head into Ibiza’s clubs and studios, meet artists and industry figures, and could receive further support through label opportunities and Beatport’s network.

How To Enter:

• Download the exclusive sample & stem pack 
• Build an original track using the provided sample & stem pack
• Submit your track/remix by Sunday, August 23

* Only producers currently based in Europe are eligible to apply

* You do not need to use every sample or stem, but the track should be clearly based on elements from the pack.

Once submissions close, both coaches will judge the entries alongside teams from El Tony Mate and Beatport. All eight winners will be announced by Sunday, September 6.

Meet Your Instructors

SKALA:

Berlin-based producer, vocalist and DJ SKALA makes electronic music built on contrast: heavy basslines against airy melodies, glitchy synths against organic percussion. Her records have landed on Stil vor Talent, Selador and her own Amaeo label. In March 2026, Amaeo was selected as Beatport's Hype Label of the Month, recognizing its fast-growing catalog and work with emerging artists. Behind the decks, SKALA has taken that sound across Europe, India, Central America and the Middle East.

Kid Simius:

Born in Granada and based in Berlin, Kid Simius’ sound freely through house, Italo, Balearic, disco and whatever else catches his ear. His records have landed on Permanent Vacation, Studio Barnhus, Shall Not Fade and his own Jirafa Records. He also co-wrote Marteria’s platinum-certified hit “Lila Wolken,” while his 10 most-streamed tracks have passed 30 million plays on Spotify. Behind the decks or performing live, he has appeared at Sónar, Tomorrowland, Fusion and more than 30 festivals in a single year.
