The creative process allowed Mode99 to master new sound design techniques while adapting to a strictly software setup. Utilizing Ableton Live 12 and Serum 2 for the first time on an official release, the producer successfully translated his childhood memories of stargazing into a rich sonic landscape. "I switched to strictly software instruments for space saving purposes but that proved to be a longer process for me," the artist admits. This technical pivot paid off beautifully during the pivotal arrangement section. "I am most proud of the breakdown before the second drop. The extended chord progression and introduction to the main lead was a part that I feel satisfied with every listen."
Drawing structural inspiration from heavyweights like Camelphat, Ben C & Kalsx, and Teho, the single prioritizes storytelling over predictable arrangements. Mode99 urges fans to appreciate the delicate construction of the entire work. "The journey of the full track matters more than how strong a bass drop is," he notes.
