Transparent Audio is Beatport's Hype Label of the Month for July, and if you've been paying attention to the deeper end of drum & bass, the name probably isn't new. Founded in Bristol by Tom Davies (aka Two Tee) in 2020, the label has quietly become one of the UK's strongest independent imprints by sticking to its lane: deep, minimal, soulful drum & bass with serious attention to sound design and artist development. Three consecutive Drum & Bass Arena Award nominations for Best Newcomer Label suggest the wider scene has been paying attention too.

Transparent Audio has never been interested in churning through artists or jumping on whatever sound is having a moment. From the beginning, it set out to give producers room to grow, trusting that good music takes time. That approach has turned into a tight-knit crew, with friendships and long-term collaboration carrying just as much weight as the records themselves. It's why so many artists have grown alongside the label instead of simply passing through it.

You can hear that consistency across releases from Dub Ten, Morrow, Stokka, Spektiv, Koax, Acris, Geostatic, Primitive Instinct, and plenty more. The music moves through deep, rolling minimalism, gnarled bass, soulful moments, and tougher club tracks, but it all feels like it belongs together. Even when Transparent Audio stepped into 140 territory with Spektiv's Pressure EP, it never felt like a detour. Just another side of the same musical identity.

That same mentality reaches beyond the release schedule. Sold-out events, international showcases, chart-topping releases, and a loyal community have grown naturally around the label over the last five years. Transparent Audio still feels like what it was when it started: a place where artists back one another, develop together, and keep pushing the sound forward without losing sight of why they started in the first place.
