Alex Farell Announces Debut Album With “Club Acid”
The 19-year-old Liverpool producer launches 'Youngest In Charge' with an acid-heavy first single.

Alex Farell has dropped “Club Acid,” the first taste of his debut album, Youngest In Charge, due October 30 via Sara Landry’s HEKATE imprint.
The new single does not waste time finding its target. Clocking in at 145 BPM and built around a spaceship-sized acid line with slippery percussion and steadily twisting synth work, “Club Acid” carries the kind of forward pull Farell has been testing on bigger and bigger stages. He calls it one of his favorite tracks to play live, largely because it sends crowds sideways. Listen below.
Youngest In Charge stretches that same energy across ten tracks, pulling hard techno and hard dance into trance, acid and psy-trance without turning the record into a genre checklist. The album is framed as a sharper and purposeful look at where Farell’s sound is moving.
Still only 19, the Liverpool producer began making music at 12 and was playing clubs by 14, with a legal chaperone in tow. A viral Boiler Room appearance followed at 16, alongside releases for EXHALE, Teletech, doof and HEKATE, including his Sara Landry collaboration “Prisoner.”
Farell is making techno with serious scale, and even with his debut album on the way, this still feels like the opening chapter.
Alex Farrel's single "Club Acid" is out now via HEKATE.
