Marsh Launches Marshan Records With Debut Single “Home”

Marsh has started his own label. Marshan Records arrives with “Home,” its first release, out now.

The debut single's title does plenty of work. “Home” introduces a label Marsh can shape without compromise, but it also speaks to the fan community gathered around him over the past decade. He calls them the Marshans. What better way to show your dedicated fans how much you appreciate them then by naming your label after them? 

The track stays close to the sound that made Marsh a leading melodic house artist: patient, warm and soaked with feeling and gratitude. Dreamlike layers rise around a gently rolling groove, giving “Home” enough room for introspective listening without shrinking it for any dance floor it graces.

Speaking exclusively to Beatportal, Marsh said:

For years, my music has found its way into the world through some incredible labels, and I’m endlessly grateful for every one of them. But there comes a point where you want to build something that’s entirely your own. Marshan Records is that place. It’s a home for the music I love to make and for the community that’s grown around it over the years, the Marshans. Today, it begins with my own records. Tomorrow? We’ll see.

When Beatportal first profiled Marsh back in 2021, we caught him midway through a long rise. Born Tom Marshall and raised outside Brighton, he moved from reluctant classical piano lessons to early-2000s trance, then spent years sharpening his deep and progressive house sound through releases on labels like Mango Alley, Monstercat Silk, Colorize (Enhanced) and more.

“Black Mountain” brought him to Anjunadeep in 2018. He went on to become one of the label’s defining artists, release a third studio album in 2023, and headline venues including Red Rocks and fabric.

Marshan Records puts the next move in his hands. For now, the focus stays narrow. It begins with his own music. Whether other artists eventually enter the picture remains deliberately unanswered.
