Boris Brejcha to Helm Debut Orchestral Performance
The high-tech minimal master will play at the legendary Hollywood Bowl among dozens of musicians.

In between international headlines and peak-time festival slots, Boris Brejcha will come to Los Angeles this summer to perform with an orchestra for the very first time. The show will take place Sunday, July 26 at the Hollywood Bowl with the venue’s in-house orchestra. Derrick Hodge will be conducting.
While combining an orchestra and an electronic artist may seem like a stretch, Brejcha’s productions are known for their deeply musical quality. His chosen genre of high-tech minimal often includes epic, sprawling breakdowns that are prime for expansion with brass and strings. One of his biggest tracks, “Gravity,” features a haunting piano melody between the swelling beats. Brejcha even put out a fully piano version led by Nick Schwenderling.
Beyond Brejcha himself, Hodge is well known throughout popular music for his orchestral crossover arrangements. He leads the Color Of Noize orchestra, which has supported popular acts such as WILLOW, Wizkid, Anderson .Paak, and Jeezy. With the latter, Color of Noize broke a Guinness World Record by having the largest orchestra in history perform with a hip-hop artist. In terms of his dance music experience, Hodge arranged “Clarity” for orchestra when Zedd came out to perform with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at Coachella 2025.
Brejcha will also be one of the first DJs to headline a show at the Hollywood Bowl. Back in 2013, Avicii became the first DJ to headline, but the Bowl primarily focuses on live music, so very few DJs have performed since then.
