Detroit pioneer Stacey Pullen debuts on Defected sister label DFTD
'I Wanna Dance' sees the legendary selector become part of the Defected tapestry.

Detroit house pioneer Stacey Pullen makes his DFTD debut with ‘I Wanna Dance’. A true architect of modern electronic music, Pullen has spent over three decades shaping dancefloors worldwide, earning his place among Detroit’s second wave of techno innovators alongside the city’s most influential names.
Renowned for his seamless fusion of house, techno and soulful grooves, the legendary selector became part of the Defected tapestry following his highly anticipated debut at its flagship festival in Croatia in 2025.
Now arriving on Defected’s sister label for premiere underground selections, DFTD, ‘I Wanna Dance’ showcases the variety in Stacey Pullen’s sonic. Effortlessly blending high-octane rhythms and hooky vocals with dancefloor functionality, ‘I Wanna Dance’ shows the pioneer at his best as he delivers a fun and modern club cut built for peak-time sets and the after-hours.
