Meet Presi On: From Colombia’s Club Scene to ABRACADABRA at Pacha Ibiza [Q&A]

After winning ABRACADABRA’s LabelRadar contest, Colombian DJ and producer Presi On is releasing “Where Are U Now” on the label’s 'Troublemakers Ibiza 2026 VA' and making his Ibiza debut at Pacha.

Back in April, BLOND:ISH and her ABRACADABRA imprint teamed up with LabelRadar to give one emerging producer a serious Ibiza breakthrough: an official release on ABRACADABRA Records and an opening slot at the label’s summer residency at Pacha.

That winner is Presi On.

Born Cristian Garcia in Barranquilla, Colombia, Presi On has spent years building his name through the country’s club circuit, from his residency at La Movida Cartagena to performances at Octava Club, Clandestino, Salon Amador, Sci, and beyond.

His music has already picked up support from heavyweights like RÜFÜS DU SOL, John Summit, Hernán Cattáneo, Bedouin, Nic Fanciulli, and more, with releases landing on labels including Nervous Records, Glasgow Underground, Rose Avenue, Deep Root Tribe and Hurry Up Slowly.

Now, his winning track “Where Are U Now” appears on ABRACADABRA’s four-track Troublemakers Ibiza 2026 VA. A few days later, he heads to Ibiza for his debut at Pacha on July 8, joining BLOND:ISH, Disclosure, and Irish duo Obskür for ABRACADABRA’s Wednesday night takeover.

We caught up with Presi On to talk about finding out he’d won, the emotional pull behind “Where Are U Now,” Colombia’s dance floor energy, and what he plans to bring to the booth at Pacha.

Congratulations on winning the contest. What was your first reaction when you found out your track had been picked?

Thank you so much. It’s been incredibly exciting and honestly a bit surreal.

I’m a pretty anxious person, so I actually wasn’t watching the live stream where BLOND:ISH announced the winner. I found out because my phone suddenly exploded with notifications. People started DMing me and tagging me in the live. I opened my phone, saw all the messages, and I was still in disbelief.

I even messaged BLOND:ISH directly to confirm it was real. As soon as she replied, I turned to my dad, who was right there, and said, “Dad, I’m going to Ibiza.”

When you started working on “Where Are U Now,” what was the first idea that clicked for you?

Every time I start a track, I’m heavily guided by the emotions I’m living through at that moment. I’m a very emotional person, so I almost always begin by writing melodies and harmonies first.

This track brought up feelings of nostalgia and attachment to something that happened in the past, or maybe someone from the past. Because of that, I wanted to bring back that groovy, disco-inspired ’80s drum feel and give it a vintage atmosphere, while still channeling a lot of energy and emotional release.

I wanted it to feel like remembering someone you can’t quite forget, but instead of sadness, turning that memory into something euphoric and powerful on the dance floor.

How has Colombia’s dance floor energy shaped the way you produce?

My experience in Colombia’s club scene has really expanded my perspective as a producer. Colombian crowds are incredibly energetic, romantic, and passionate. Those emotions are always in my mind when I’m creating music.

The result is music that tries to connect directly with people’s feelings, pull them into a moment, and sometimes even make them fall in love for a few minutes. Hahaha.

If your winning track had to be described as a place, a time of night, and a drink in someone’s hand, what would it be?

I think it would be this scene: a rooftop overlooking a huge city filled with neon lights, right at midnight, with an Espresso Martini in the hand of the love that never happened.

As you can tell, I’m a bit of a romantic. Hahaha.

What are you hoping to bring to the booth at Pacha, and what does playing a room like that mean to you?

Wow. Playing in Ibiza has always been a dream of mine. Ever since I started my career, I’ve imagined the moment of making my debut on the island. Realizing that my first time in Ibiza will be at such a historic, legendary, and iconic venue like Pacha feels like a major life milestone. It still feels surreal, but now it’s real.

Coming from Colombia, where only a few artists have had opportunities like this, it also carries a sense of representation. I’m incredibly proud to carry my country’s flag with me. Right now, I may be one of the few, but I truly hope there will be many more in the future.

That opening set will be filled with the pure essence of Presi On. All of my emotion, romanticism, nostalgia, and energy will be left on that dance floor.
