BLOODY Merges Rock and Dubstep on "TENTACION"

BLOODY, the anonymous Los Angeles-based electronic producer known for his red mask and emotionally charged bass music, returns to bitbird with "TENTACION," a high-energy dubstep/trap collaboration with Colombian vocalist Heybela. It is the clearest version yet of what he’s been working toward: pulling rock influences into his electronic sound.

The track started with the bass. BLOODY spent weeks on a single Serum preset, tweaking until it hit with the blown-out punch of an overdriven guitar. Heybela’s vocal was then recorded in full before the final song structure, allowing the production to shape itself around her performance.

“I’ve been trying to incorporate some rock sensibilities into my music,” BLOODY says. “I tried to get this main bass sound to feel similar to a blown-out electric guitar while still keeping its punch. As always, involving Bela in the process just elevates the track to a whole new level. I wanted her vocal to have some sway in the sound of the overall song, so I usually get a full performance from her before the track is even close to finished so that I can tailor it to her vocal. Honestly, I’m just trying to make sounds that make me feel like I did when I first heard electronic music. I feel like we succeeded here.”

BLOODY launched in 2023 with his debut EP, Exhibit A, and has since collaborated with Mija, Daniel Allan, Madalen Duke, and more. "TENTACION," out now on bitbird, follows "FADE" and "PRETTY," both synced for VCT 2025 Paris. Whether through headphones or a club system, its bass does exactly what BLOODY built it to do.
