A selection of this week’s standout releases across the dancefloor.

Edit24 Cropped 16x9

From deeply personal album storytelling and uplifting vocal records to nostalgic trance revivals, peak-time energy, and summer-ready grooves, this week’s selection covers a wide emotional spectrum. Whether you're looking for reflective moments, hands-in-the-air melodies, or tracks built purely for the dancefloor, these releases prove there's still plenty of room for both heart and momentum in electronic music.

Christian Burns - Waking Up in a Northern Town

Christian Burns opens a new chapter with ‘Waking Up In A Northern Town’, a deeply personal album inspired by a period of reflection, growth, and transformation. Blending progressive house, melodic electronica, and his unmistakable vocals, the record explores themes of hope, resilience, love, and self-discovery.

What makes the album stand out is its sense of honesty. Written across different stages of Burns’ life, the songs naturally trace a path from uncertainty to clarity, creating a collection that feels both intimate and uplifting from beginning to end.

Mark Eteson featuring Pearl - AFTRHRS

Mark Eteson and Pearl team up on “AFTRHRS”, a catchy dance-pop cut that blends house grooves, polished production, and a vocal hook that’s hard to shake. Pearl’s performance gives the track its personality, carrying listeners through verses and choruses that gradually build in energy and emotion.

What keeps “AFTRHRS” moving is its sense of progression. Layer by layer, new melodies, textures, and subtle EDM touches emerge, giving the track a constant feeling of momentum without ever overcomplicating things. Instead of chasing bigger and bigger drops, “AFTRHRS” finds its strength in movement, steadily pulling listeners deeper into its world with each new section.

Joy Kitikonti x Sygma – Joyenergizer

Twenty-five years after “Joyenergizer” first made its mark, Joy Kitikonti and Sygma give the classic a bold new chapter. The track opens with driving techno energy, but as it unfolds, emotional melodies and dreamy trance-inspired synths begin to take over, transforming it into something much more than a straightforward remake. Inspired by the spirit of 90s trance and today's rave culture, Sygma rebuilt the track from scratch, searching for a sound that hadn't been explored in previous versions. The result feels both familiar and refreshingly new, bridging generations of dance music fans in the process.

The challenge was finding a new identity for ‘Joyenergizer’. It had already been explored through techno, house, and electro, so we set out to create something different — a version inspired by trance, 90s melodies, and today’s global rave culture.

B Jones - Stronger (Angemi + Abel The Kid Remixes)

B Jones’ “Stronger” gets a fresh burst of trance energy with new remixes from Angemi and Abel The Kid. While Angemi takes the track into uplifting territory with bright melodies and an unmistakably feel-good atmosphere, Abel The Kid opts for a tougher approach, adding extra speed, drive, and dancefloor punch to the mix.

Together, the two remixes showcase different sides of the same message, a gesture of support for B Jones. One reaches for pure euphoria, the other delivers a rush of adrenaline, but both keep the spirit of “Stronger” firmly intact.

Push - Activate Vortex

Push seems to have a permanent time machine hidden somewhere in the studio, and “Activate Vortex” is proof. Taken from his upcoming Known Universe album, the track pairs fast-paced modern trance production with the kind of soaring melodies and euphoric synths that transport listeners straight back to the sound that made Push a trance icon.

Rather than chasing trends, “Activate Vortex” feels like a celebration of everything the Push name has represented for years: emotion, energy, and melodies that stay with you long after the track ends. It's a powerful preview of what's still to come from Known Universe.

Vanstone x Chris Ultranova - On My Own

“On My Own” sees Vanstone and Chris Ultranova finally turn years of conversations into a finished collaboration. Built around bouncy house grooves, driving basslines, and catchy vocals, the track delivers exactly the kind of energy you’d expect from two artists who spend their weekends keeping dancefloors moving.

There’s a confidence to the production that comes from knowing exactly what it wants to be. No unnecessary detours, no overthinking, just a solid house record with plenty of groove and enough bounce to keep people coming back for another round.

Maratone - On My Love

After some heavier club-focused moments, Maratone eases the pace with “On My Love”, a melodic record that sits comfortably between progressive house and trance. Built around catchy female vocals, warm piano-driven melodies, and a series of steadily rising progressions, the track knows exactly how to build anticipation without rushing the journey.

What makes “On My Love” so engaging is the way it keeps finding new ways to lift the energy. Each section adds another layer, another melody, or another emotional pull, creating a track that feels uplifting and powerful without ever losing its sense of elegance.

‘On My Love’ has all the ingredients of a summer anthem for me. It’s uplifting, full of positive energy, and one of the tracks that best represents the feeling of my upcoming album. I hope listeners connect with that same feeling and make it part of their summer soundtrack.
