On Friday, June 19th, Deep Root Records releases a fresh rework of the iconic ’90s house anthem ‘Horny’, this time by Jawora and AVÖ.

Originally made famous by Mousse T. and Hot’N’Juicy, the unmistakable vocal of ‘Horny’ is reimagined through Jawora and AVÖ’s lens as a melodic tech house heater. Driven by hypnotic grooves and a smooth late-night flow, the rework keeps the bold attitude of the original while introducing deeper rhythms and refined club energy, landing somewhere between nostalgia and pure after-hours motion.
Already gaining traction in clubs, the release has received early support from Francis Mercier, Meduza, Sasson, and Alan Dixon in their DJ sets, standing out as a familiar vocal flip with a fresh underground identity.

Emerging from Tunisia in North Africa, Jawora creates a refined blend of Afro House, Melodic House, and House music rich in emotion and depth. His sound carries a subtle melancholy drawn from personal experiences, merging hypnotic grooves with atmospheric melodies.
AVÖ is a Portuguese music producer, composer & DJ, influenced by the upcoming Afro and Melodic House Movement. His self-produced sound doesn’t tend to fall under a single subgenre. AVÖ has been supported by the biggest names in the industry, such as Black Coffee, Keinemusik, Adriatique, Francis Mercier, Arodes, Shimza, and many more. AVÖ’s strength lies in his ability to energize the audience by playing the right track at the right moment and keeping the energy up, smiling and dancing throughout his DJ set, connecting with audiences uniquely.
