RRETT lands on Melé’s Club Bad imprint with the Joga EP, a two-track release packed with groove, live instrumentation, and sun-soaked energy

Title track “Joga” leads with infectious groove and unmistakable summer flavour. Percussive rhythms, subtle drum work, fresh guitar licks, and uplifting trumpet hooks weave together effortlessly, creating a warm, fluid energy throughout. Funky, playful, and rich in movement, it’s a track designed to lift the mood while keeping dancers locked into the groove.

On “Na Praia,” RRETT leans further into jazzy and funk-led territory. Rolling grooves, soulful horn work, organ textures, and sax riffs give the track its laid-back yet energetic identity, balancing musicality and dancefloor flow with ease. Warm and immersive, it’s perfectly suited to intimate venues, open-air gatherings, and daytime parties where atmosphere and groove take centre stage.

Born and raised in San Diego, Garrett Edwards, better known as RRETT, developed an early connection to disco, funk, and soul through his parents’ record collection before discovering house music during college. Drawing inspiration from 90s house and tech house, his productions combine influences from disco, hip hop, jazz, and soul with live instrumentation including bass and guitar, giving his sound a distinct musical identity rooted in groove and rhythm.

Despite only producing for a few years, RRETT has already gained support from names including ANOTR, LF System, Folamour, and A-Trak, while unreleased material has been heard across clubs and festivals throughout the US, UK, and Europe.
