We Are The Brave continues its HYBRD series with the Perception Drift EP

Title track “Perception Drift” opens the release with pounding drums, rolling low-end pressure, and sharp tonal movement that cuts through the mix with intensity. Evolving acid lines and industrial textures give the track its hypnotic edge, while the groove remains relentless throughout. On “Crater,” the pair lean into a darker and more immersive flow, pairing pulsing low-end movement with evolving textures that steadily build tension across the arrangement. Locked-in and hypnotic, the track captures a deeper warehouse mood without losing momentum.

“Cloud 9” explores a more expansive atmosphere through evolving melodic textures layered over a controlled rhythmic foundation. Smooth and immersive, the track delivers depth and movement while maintaining the project’s raw underground edge. And closing the EP, “Nightwaves” shifts into a more fluid and atmospheric space, balancing rolling percussion with subtle tonal movement and restrained progression. The groove unfolds patiently, maintaining a steady hypnotic pull while allowing tension and space to breathe naturally through the mix.

A long-standing force within underground electronic music, Alan Fitzpatrick continues to push forward through both his productions and his trailblazing imprint We Are The Brave. Fresh from the widely celebrated “Burn Tonight” alongside Carl Cox and Alex Culross, also on the label, he remains one of techno’s most respected names, with releases on Drumcode, Cocoon, and Filth On Acid, alongside performances at institutions including Berghain, Fabric London, and The Warehouse Project.

A close collaborator within the We Are The Brave universe, Reset Robot brings his unmistakable blend of hypnotic groove and stripped-back intensity to the project. With releases on Sci+Tec, Drumcode, Truesoul, and Cocoon, alongside previous collaborations with Alan Fitzpatrick including the highly supported “Lose Control,” he continues to hold a key role within the label’s evolving sound.
