Toolroom Joins the LabelRadar Family
Mark Knight’s dance music imprint, Toolroom Records, is now open for demo submissions via LabelRadar.
The revered dance music institution and one of Beatport’s all-time top-selling labels, Toolroom, has joined the LabelRadar community. Mark Knight’s imprint, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, is famous for consistently pumping out authentic and defining club records while making good on its mission to amplify the careers of promising DJ/producers from around the globe.
By partnering up with LabelRadar, the A&R team over at Toolroom will now be treated to a more streamlined demo submission process, empowering both up-and-coming artists and the label itself to review new submissions in an efficient and addictive way. Toolroom will be in good company on LabelRadar, joining the likes of Armada Music, Monstercat, Black Hole Recordings, Axtone, Drumcode, and many other labels using the platform to discover the next wave of artist talent.
“New talent is the lifeblood of electronic music, and as a label owner and A&R, it’s deeply important to me that Toolroom makes it as seamless as possible for artists to submit music to us,” says label owner Mark Knight about the new partnership. “We are impressed with the functionality that LabelRadar provides us as an A&R team, and we’re looking forward to working with LabelRadar for our demo submission process going forward.”
Toolroom will also be holding weekly demo review livestreams via the educational arm of the brand, Toolroom Academy, to share important feedback with potential signees and to showcase precisely what kind of sound they are looking for during the A&R process.
LabelRadar’s Co-Founder Ed Brew adds: “Toolroom doesn’t just use the word ‘family’ as a marketing ploy — they walk the walk — as evidenced by the incredible artistic talent they have nurtured through the years. We couldn’t be more excited to bring their expertise to LabelRadar as we look to continue facilitating connections between fantastic labels and amazing artists.”
Be sure to keep an eye out for a Toolroom remix competition on LabelRadar that will launch later this year.
